A little bit about me...

For more than 24 years, service was at the center of Saundra D. Martinez’s life as an officer in the U.S. Army Nurse Corps. Throughout her military career, she cared for people, led teams, navigated complex challenges, and advocated for others during some of the most important and difficult moments of their lives.

When Saundra retired from the Army as a Lieutenant Colonel, she may have taken off the uniform, but she did not leave behind the calling to serve.

She simply found a new way to do it.

Today, as a Real Estate Advisor with Devora Realty, Saundra combines the leadership, discipline, advocacy, and problem-solving skills developed during more than two decades of military service with firsthand experience as a real estate investor. Her practice includes residential real estate, military relocation, investment and value-add properties, multifamily opportunities, commercial real estate, and renovation and repositioning strategy.

For Saundra, real estate is about more than buying or selling property. It is about helping people recognize possibility.

She understands that homeownership can provide stability and a place to build a life, while real estate investing can offer another path—one with the potential to create income, build equity, and establish long-term value that may extend across generations.

As an investor herself, with firsthand renovation experience, Saundra has developed an eye for looking beyond what a property is today and considering what it could become. She enjoys identifying opportunities, evaluating potential, and helping clients think strategically about how renovation, design, operations, and positioning may improve an asset’s functionality, marketability, and long-term value.

She also has a particular interest in the design and consulting side of real estate, including helping owners and investors consider ways to create high-end impact without automatically requiring a high-end budget. Whether evaluating a renovation, repositioning an existing property, or assessing a new acquisition, Saundra approaches each opportunity with both practicality and vision.

Her role, however, does not end with locating a property or reaching the closing table.

Saundra’s goal is to become a long-term resource for her clients—helping them ask the right questions, evaluate their options, and connect with experienced brokers, lenders, contractors, licensed trades, and other professionals who may be needed to move a project forward. Whether a client is purchasing a first investment property or expanding an established portfolio, she works to understand not only what they are trying to acquire, but what they ultimately hope to accomplish.

Military families remain especially close to Saundra’s heart.

As a Military Relocation Professional and retired Army officer who personally experienced the demands of military moves, she understands that relocating while buying or selling a home is rarely just a real estate transaction. It is often part of a much larger life transition involving a new assignment, a new community, new schools, changing timelines, and important decisions that may need to be made quickly.

That perspective continues to shape her commitment to serving active-duty military members, veterans, and their families with patience, preparation, and advocacy.

Saundra is also an Accredited Luxury Home Specialist, bringing an appreciation for presentation, design, quality, and thoughtful positioning to the residential side of her practice. Her experience allows her to work across a broad range of real estate while maintaining the same fundamental approach to every client relationship: listen carefully, understand the objective, develop a strategy, and see the mission through.

At Devora Realty, Saundra combines her strengths as a leader, investor, and advisor with the brokerage’s residential, land, multifamily, development, and commercial real estate capabilities. The platform allows her to bring broader resources, relationships, and market expertise to clients whose real estate needs may evolve over time—from a first home or military relocation to an investment acquisition, renovation, multifamily property, or commercial opportunity.

The size and complexity of the transaction may change.

Her commitment to the person does not.

The qualities that shaped Saundra as an Army officer and nurse—listening, leadership, discipline, advocacy, resilience, problem-solving, and service—remain at the center of the way she works today.

Her philosophy is simple:

Listen. Advocate. Strategize. Connect. Create Value. Serve.

Because for Saundra, real estate is not simply about property. It is about helping people build something meaningful—something that can improve their lives today and, when the opportunity is right, create value and possibilities for the generations that follow.

When she is not immersed in real estate, Saundra enjoys traveling and experiencing new places and cultures with her family. You will also frequently find her alongside her husband on a pool deck, proudly cheering for their daughter and her passion for competitive swimming.

Saundra’s service did not end when she retired from the Army.

It simply entered a new era—and for the clients she serves, that commitment does not have to end at the closing table.
